St Joseph's Roman Catholic High School, Workington
"St Joseph’s Catholic High School, Business and Enterprise College", colloquially known as "St. Joseph’s" or "St.Joe‘s" to the kids, is a Roman Catholic secondary school in Workington, Cumbria. It is the only Catholic secondary school in Workington, the other two secondary schools being Stainburn School and Southfield Technology College.
The current headteacher is Tom Ryan and the Chair of Governors is Peter Hayes.
== History ==
The school has stood on the same site since it opened in 1929 until this day however the building has received a number of alterations, such as the addition of various extra blocks, an Astro Turf, a new library,a canteen extension,a separate building for English lessons,plus a move around and adaptation of most of the classrooms throughout the school. It also acquired a specialism in Business and Enterprise and, more recently, embarked on a Leading Edge program in Drama.
